Check a log

For courts, police, insurers and anyone given a log from Venue Logger. Find out whether it's exactly as it was written, without installing anything or buying a licence.

This checker works inside your browser, which needs JavaScript on for this page. Or download the offline checker below.

The log never leaves your computer. It's checked here, in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to Veradex or sent anywhere else, so it's safe to check evidence.

What it checks

Every row still matches the check value written with it, from the first entry down
No rows have been taken out, put in, or cut off the end
Incident reports in the pack say what they said when they were attached
The seal: the venue's signature at close of event, and its key fingerprint
The independent timestamp, when one was taken

What you need

The pack the venue exported from Venue Logger: a .zip with a folder called verification inside. Ask the venue for the complete pack. A log file on its own can be checked, but rows cut off its end can't be detected without the rest.

Prefer to check offline?

Every pack carries this same checker as Check a log.html. Open it in a browser and drop the pack on it. You can also download the offline checker: one file you can read in Notepad, and it never connects to anything.
